1. R&D background:

In order to improve the processing performance of metals and alloys, reduce or eliminate casting defects, and improve the workability of alloys, hot rolling technology is quite popular in Europe. However, while hot rolling technology improves production efficiency and the processing performance of metals and alloys, it also brings some problems:

High temperature oxidation and decarburization of metals can cause significant burning losses and reduce yield;

The detached oxide skin corrodes the heating furnace, increasing the frequency of furnace cleaning and shortening the service life of the heating furnace;

Severe surface cracks, dents, and other defects can lead to the scrapping of forgings or rolled plates;

Surface problems such as small cracks increase the workload of grinding, peeling, and machining, increase costs, and reduce production efficiency.

 

In response to the pain points in the above industries, our company has successfully developed a product that fills the gap in the domestic and foreign markets through multiple repeated experiments: "insulation, crack prevention, and antioxidant coatings". As a composite coating, it solves the pain points in the high-temperature forging and high-temperature rolling industries in one fell swoop, helping customers achieve good economic benefits.

 

2. Product efficacy:

High temperature resistance: It can withstand high temperatures up to 1400 ℃ and has a protection time of up to 70 hours.

Steel billet protection: comprehensively protect the steel billet and eliminate surface quality problems.

Reduce losses: significantly reduce oxidation losses and increase economic benefits.

Insulation degree: slows down the temperature drop rate of the steel billet after being fired, prolongs forging time, reduces firing rate, accelerates manufacturing process, and reduces energy consumption.

4. Performance data:

① Conventional use can withstand high temperatures of 1300 ° C, and the actual application temperature of the heating furnace can reach up to 1400 ° C.

② During the heating process at 1200-1300 ° C, the coating protection time of the billet can reach up to 70 hours.

③ After being protected by "Baohete", the pollution layer of titanium alloy ingots is measured to be as low as 0.22mm when heated at 1150 degrees for about 10 hours. The oxidation and burning loss of special steel billets is reduced from 1-5% to 0-0.8%, and the actual measurement can reduce the oxidation and burning loss by at least 80%.

④ Significantly slowing down the temperature drop of the discharged billets, the temperature of the billets protected by "high protection" is 50-80 ℃ higher than that of the unpainted billets when the high-temperature alloy forging test billets are discharged for 90 seconds.

 

5. Usage:

Preparation: Prepare various tools for spraying.

Ingredients: Mix the water material evenly before weighing, weigh the water material first, then add the weighed powder to the water material. After adding the powder, use an electric mixer to mix the coating evenly, and then filter it into another bucket with a sieve for later use

Spraying: Determine the spraying amount per square meter based on the heating process, and evenly spray the coating on the surface of the steel billet according to the spraying amount.

 

6. Mechanism of action:

After spraying, the coating adheres to the surface of the steel billet to form a coating layer with a thickness of about 0.3mm. The coating layer gradually solidifies and dries in the air, forming a protective layer on the surface of the steel billet. When the steel billet is heated, as the temperature increases, the coating protective layer gradually solidifies, forming a closed and dense solid protective layer, thereby isolating the steel billet from the air and preventing oxidation on the surface of the steel billet.
